Haymans Ghyll is a small country cottage, built over 300 years ago, located in Nettleham, Lincolnshire. Alan & Chris (the owners) provide a warm welcome and a very tasty English breakfast! A double, en-suite room costs £60 including breakfast.

The village of Nettleham is very quaint, and hosts a church and three pubs, together with a few shops and restaurants. Of course, there’s also a fish & chip shop! Nearby, the city of Lincoln boasts a cathedral that dates back to 1092 AD. There is also a nice shopping area in Lincoln.

その名も『2011年クリスマスホームステイinカリフォルニア』 プログラム名を聞いただけで興奮してしまった方は特に必見です。

１週間のスケジュールの中で午前中は英語のレッスン、午後はハリウッドツアーやビーチ、ショッピングそしてクリスマスは本場ディズニーランドで過ごします。海外が初めてという方でも現地日本人スタッフが引率に付くので安心です。対象は１３才以上ですが、小学生でも親子でなら参加してみたいという方はご相談下さい。

今年の年末は本場アメリカで英語研修にアクティビティーにホームステイにと 盛りだくさんなクリスマスを過ごしてみては！？

Hironori moved to NYC in July this year to study for an LLM at Columbia University, his wife will be joining him later in the year.

It’s a beautifully remote place away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, you almost feel as if the clock has stopped.

三連休に山形県へ旅行に行ってきました。

山寺を訪れたり、朝日町でりんご温泉につかったり、おいしいそばや山形牛を食べたり、充実の旅でした☆

それから、みなさん山形の新しいお米「つや姫」ってご存知ですか？１０月１０日に全国発売になったらしいですよ〜。

私も山形から２キロ袋（重かったです！）を買って帰り、今日のランチにおにぎりにして持ってきました（＾＾）

冷めてもツヤツヤ＆モチモチしてとってもおいしいお米でした！ぜひお試しを♪

One of our students, Aya, recently returned from a trip to her home town in Tochigi prefecture.

While she was there she visited Ashikaga School (Gakko), known as the oldest University in Japan it dates back to the Nara period (710-784).

Here are a few photos taken during the trip, unfortunately I think Aya is hiding !

Ashikaga school was designated as a national historic site in 1921 and is a centre for Confucianism. There is also a Confucian shrine and library containing many valuable manuscripts. The library was established in 1876.

If you would like to visit Ashikaga Gakko you’ll find it in Ashikaga city, Tochigi prefecture

(about 70 kilometres north of Tokyo)

８月後半のことになりますが、富士登山に行ってきました。

今年は登山ブームもあり富士登山者２５万人突破がニュースになりましたよね。

私もその一人でした☆

富士山は老若男女、さまざまな人たちであふれかえっていました。

飛び交う言語も日本語、英語、中国語など色々！

満点の星空やご来光、山からの景色の美しさに励まされ、一緒に登った人たちとのチームワークもあり、ボロボロになりながらなんとか登頂することができました。

自分の体力のなさにビックリしながらも、頂上に着いたときは本当に嬉しかったです！

楽しい夏の思い出です♪
