One of our students, Mari, told me about a beautiful valley very close to our school so I went a walk along the Tama River on Tuesday to investigate.

Todoroki Valley dates back to 600AD and is a beautiful oasis in the Setagaya district of Tokyo.

If you’re looking for a nice place to see the Autumn colours then visit Todoroki Valley, you won’t be disappointed!

 It’s lovely that we can be so close to Tokyo and yet still find places

where nature and animals thrive.

Someone looks like a monkey!

Kinuta Park’s Cherry Blossoms sweep down to the ground so we were able to eat oden and drink sake amongst the flowers

It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Kinuta Park from ASHLEY’S.

The nearest station to the park is Yoga on the Tokyu Den-En-Toshi Line.
