Most students find listening to English quite difficult so we’ve added two new items to our blog to help you practice at home:

BBC Learning English has a variety of video and audio programmes together with exercises and worksheets for you to try, to help develop your English vocabulary.

BBC World Service – LIVE contains both a live radio stream and also previously recorded radio programmes, for those of you who’d like to practice your listening skills. It’s worth noting that the material is quite advanced as it is broadcast from the BBC in London to over 188 million people around the world.

The British Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton takes place in London at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29th April at 11am (BST).

The Phantom of the Opera

If you’re interested in musicals then you might like to visit the West End of London and see The Phantom of the Opera, one of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most famous creations. It originally starred Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman and is now in it’s 24th year!

It’s currently showing at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London and you can even use the new London Theatre Tickets link on our blog to obtain discount tickets for a performance – if you’re lucky!
