The dates for the 2024 British Culture & Society Programme at Hertford College, Oxford are now available:

14th July – 3rd August

4th August – 24th August

The duration is anything from 1-3 weeks depending on your preference.

Autumnal – How do you use this word correctly in a sentence?

Autumnal – As winter slowly approaches you’ll hear people, especially in the UK, using the term Autumnal. It’s an adjective and is used to describe the weather in Autumn.

A phrase such as “It’s quite autumnal today” means that the weather is cooler and the leaves are beginning to change colour and fall from the trees.
